I.D.C.S. REG'D is a full patent drafting services firm that has been in business in Cambridge, Ontario since 1985.

Our services include preparation of DNA sequences, complex biotechnological disclosure, chemistry, high-tech, electronic schematic, mechanical, scientific/photographic disclosures, chemical diagrams, conversion of client CAD files, and trademark illustration including colour trade mark, utility, design, photographic design. We provide patent drafting services for U.S., Canada & foreign utility and design patent illustrations, and trademark drawings.

Our state-of-the art systems, software and skilled professionals enable us to generate 100% accurate design patents from 3D solid models. Derived from a 3D computer generated model, we are able to make 2D projections from all sides, including cross sections of the object quickly and accurately.

Our drawings are typically prepared from theoretical descriptions, email transmission, on-site visits, samples, sketches, photographs and/or engineering drawings. We make the most of your existing CAD files, having translation capabilities (Mac & PC) thus substantially reducing your cost. For your convenience complete drawing records are maintained.

With Adobe Acrobat, we can create .pdf files from the drawings we create for you and email as attachments, then the files can be printed, as many sets as you wish.

We can receive your rough drawings by e-mail, regular mail or overnight delivery services. Also you can send us your client's images or drawings that you may have in electronic format, i.e. AutoCAD, Pro-E, Solidworks, Solid Edge, Microsoft Word, Power Point, JPEG, GIF, MAC files or any other electronic media, we can easily manipulate these files to prepare your patent drawings as we use both Mac and Win computers.

We are also available to meet you in your office anytime to pick up a sample of the invention or instructions in the preparation of the patent drawings. We have a portable computer, which allow us to meet with you in your office and display the drawings done as well as make changes or corrections immediately.
